★What if my scope and sequence is different?

No problem! The Science of Reading does not endorse a specific scope and sequence. Our decodable books follow a logical progression of skills, aligned with many leading reading programs.

Even if you encounter a pattern that hasn’t been explicitly taught in your curriculum, it’s an excellent opportunity to assess whether students can generalize their phonics knowledge to untaught patterns.

If a student is unable to decode a word with an untaught pattern, you can simply treat it as a Star Word—providing the support they need while maintaining the integrity of their reading experience. Our books are designed to be flexible and to meet the needs of diverse instructional approaches.

Yes! When you purchase a set of books, you will receive access to the digital version of the set.

We also offer a Supplemental Digital Resource Pack that includes downloadable low-ink printable versions of the books as well as lesson plans and related materials.
